It and the dress are beautiful.

At RomCon a few weeks ago, I talked with an author whose house used not just the same dress, but also the same couple from the same photo shoot for two of her books. The cover artist did a good job of making it look different though.

I doubt if anyone outside the author, and people who are familiar with that side of the industry, will notice though.Keena Kincaidhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15985958126062809043noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2096473303247600400.post-58594460775016239882010-07-06T02:09:42.179+10:002010-07-06T02:09:42.179+10:00I love the cover too, and look forward to reading ...I love the cover too, and look forward to reading the book. I confess to being one of those viewers who love to spot a costume, or a set, house, garden, whatever, that has been used before. But rarely does the author have a say over the cover design.Freda Lightfoothttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15645328548631325064noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2096473303247600400.post-74427393064981602862010-07-05T13:01:43.970+10:002010-07-05T13:01:43.970+10:00When I got hold of your book I was so pleased with...When I got hold of your book I was so pleased with how it really 'popped' in real life!

Very nice cover!Marghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13508430635744720721noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2096473303247600400.post-85113904012167823612010-07-04T23:04:31.069+10:002010-07-04T23:04:31.069+10:00Your cover is beautiful. But only for the stage - I prefer good old fashioned zips & buttons on my own clothes, velcro's far too scratchy!Deborah Swifthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10594174632573628818noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2096473303247600400.post-51068642828337573632010-07-04T14:10:17.467+10:002010-07-04T14:10:17.467+10:00I am absolutely in love with your covers. I think it is fascinating that you've worked with costuming for movies and such. My only experience has been in the theater and when you can't sew (like me) it can be difficult. We have to watch the recycling as well. I've seen the same dress, show after show. Maybe others don't really notice. What I did learn from my costuming experience is that velcro is amazing.Amy DeTrempehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04785965181851533070noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2096473303247600400.post-55396587545585436202010-07-03T22:09:22.084+10:002010-07-03T22:09:22.084+10:00Thanks for the lovely comments about the cover eve...Thanks for the lovely comments about the cover everyone. There was an article in our paper The Guardian just a couple of days ago about how now it is the author that is judged by the cover - that we all need to dress up and be aware of our media image!Help!Deborah Swifthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10594174632573628818noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2096473303247600400.post-88964042423229348322010-07-03T19:29:32.287+10:002010-07-03T19:29:32.287+10:00You have a gorgeous cover, Deb!
